Description:

Gorgeous and dramatic sound! The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra led by André Litton recorded Elgar's "Enigma Variations" and Holst's "The Planets" on SACD hybrid disc. The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Andrzej Litton, is a renowned duo. The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Androu Litton, has taken on the challenge of recording the masterpieces of Elgar and Holst, two of England's most famous composers. Elgar's masterpiece, "Variations on an Original Theme," commonly known as the "Enigma Variations," is an orchestral work consisting of a theme, 13 variations, and a finale. Each variation is given an initial symbol, which alludes to the composer's wife and friends, hence the name "Enigma Variations. Litton plays the melody with care and passion, and the melody is full of melancholy that is hard to forget. Holst's masterpiece "The Planets" consists of seven movements, each named after a planet corresponding to a god in Roman mythology. The seventh piece, "Neptune," is joined by a female chorus and depicts a mysterious world.Litton's signature colorful and gorgeous playing shines through on this remarkable disc! King International
