INSTALLATION GUIDE

DRY INSTALLATION: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools.

Tools Needed:

1. Pro Felt or Hard Squeegee (you can use a room key card or credit card in a pinch)

2. Blade (only necessary for overlays that have extra material that needs to be trimmed)

3. Heat Gun (not necessary for difficulty levels 1 or 2, but recommended for all installations)

For the Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays. Cleaning consists of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process we recommend using a clay bar. CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE).

Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions. You should never install our products in direct sunlight. Also never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature range for installing vinyl is between 65 and 80 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F).

To begin, you first want to start by positioning the overlay into place on your vehicle. Since this overlay is long, we suggest removing only 1/4 of the backing paper (you can do this left to right or up to down). This will help you get this overlay placed correctly. There will be a slight overhang on the sides and bottom that can be tucked by using a little heat and a squeegee or finger. You can also use a piece of tape to help with the alignment of this overlay (place the masking tape along the top edge as a guide. Use the side skirt to qtr panel line as your guide for a straight line across the vehicle).

Use a squeegee and start from the center and begin pushing the air from beneath the overlay toward the edges - sometimes you may need a heat gun will be needed to help conform the material to aggressive bends and or corners.

TRIMMING: some overlays are intentionally designed slightly oversized for the ease of application, in this case minor trimming may be required.

Once you've completed the install we recommend that you leave your car in the sun for up to 30 minutes just to let the adhesive set, if you would like you can use a heat gun to speed up the cure process.
